City Council Candidate Ede Fox formally launch her run for District 35, covering Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Crown Heights and Bed-Stuy.

Standing in front of the Bedford-Union Armory, Fox was joined by representatives from NYSLOF, Mason Tenders’ District Council PAC, NYS Laborers’ PAC, DC9 and Metallic Lathers and Ironworkers Local 46.

Together, Fox and the crowd protested the Bedford-Union Armory Deal, which is slated to be revamped and turned into a recreation space, condominiums and office space under a current city plan. The demand was for the armory to include more affordable housing and to be built with union labor.
