Local 1298 Participates in Long Island Career Fair

Laborers' Local 1298 was proud to participate in the 2018 Connetquot High School "Unlock Your Future" Career Fair. There was a total of 25 vendors and over 100 participants who offered students the opportunity to learn about higher education and alternative occupations of interest. The goal was to introduce students to the wealth of job and career opportunities available through local employers.

Local 1298 responded to student questions regarding the joys and challenges of working in the unionized construction industry. They offered students individual advice on required training and networking for their career choices.

Local 1298 was proud to be a part of this important community event for the Central School District of Islip, and look forward to continued collaborations in the future.
