To watch some of our speakers, check out the following hearings below:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation held three public hearings on state permits for the planned Constitution Pipeline, a 124-milelong natural gas transmission line from Pennsylvania to Schoharie County. The hearings were held in Binghamton, Oneonta and Cobleskill. New York State LECET representatives and New York State Laborers' Organizing Fund representatives worked with the locals in those areas to get members to the hearings.

Of the over 425 LiUNA members present over the three days, 50 LiUNA members and their families spoke in favor of the pipeline and the dire need for good paying jobs in some of the hardest hit areas of the state. The Department of Environmental Conservation will also take written comments (the deadline has been extended to February 27) on state permit applications related to the pipeline.
