Local 435 Rallies Against Rochester Gas and Electric

Local Union 435, the New York State Laborers Organizing Fund and the New York State LECET Fund pulled together a press conference and rally against Rochester Gas and Electric for not putting local residents to work on the Russell and Beebe Station projects.

Over 200 Local 435 members came out to show strong support with other local building trades, community activists and elected officials. Local 435 Business Manager Daniel Kuntz spoke on behalf of the local and explained why this project was so important to his members and the community.

Local politicians also came out to speak on behalf of the unions, including Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, Assemblyman David Gantt, Assemblyman Harry Bronson, and Senator Joseph Robach.
