FERC Public Hearings on Constitution Pipeline

New York State Laborers Organizing Fund (NYSLOF), NYS LECET and local unions 157, 17 and 785 attended three Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) hearings for the Constitution Pipeline project. Representatives from Local Unions each took a turn speaking at the public hearings.
Numerous LIUNA Orange T-shirt wearing members filled the hearing rooms. They held signage and showed additional support for our cause. There were approximately 130 members at each night's hearings and the representatives from the Constitutional Pipeline were very thankful for our strong and united presence at the events.
Our presence countered the turnout of people opposed to the project. We will continue to monitor the review of the project and keep our locals updated.
